Root disturbance. Whole genus is quite sensitive to it, when specimens are young. - Today

Insanely Cheap Coco Coir and 1g pots
JohnAndSancho replied to JohnAndSancho's topic in DISCUSSING PALM TREES WORLDWIDE
It's 2025! I was wearing purple jeans back in high school in the 1990s. I found a 20 pack of 5 gallon pots on Amazon for like $35 which isn't bad. I'm snatching those up on the first since it seems like everything I put in a 1g pot is already rootbound. I'd snatch those up in a heartbeat. You can find deals on big pots but then the shipping totally cancels it out, especially this time of year. -

@JohnAndSancho Those do seem like good prices. I was thinking about you when I saw this Craigslist post the other day. I know you said your local CL is lacking anything like this. https://spacecoast.craigslist.org/grd/d/merritt-island-plant-pots/7902153023.html -

I don't like gloves that are too small,John, neither for gardening nor for winter. They feel restrictive somehow, John. Sabine's gloves were a bit smaller than mine when I went out in the cold recently. Lisa's (twin sister) are exactly the same size as mine... but she always wears colorful ones, pink, red, and other colors. I'd be arrested if I wore those 🤣 -
That's a real difference, very interesting, Konstantinos.

Wow, this plant is amazing. Sabine and I are going to build a greenhouse in the community garden. Okay, my twin sister Lisa will raise the money at the Christmas markets. She's good-looking (she thinks 🤭😁) and she likes being the center of attention. We'll tell the landlord that we want to charge admission during the cold months and then we'll make a 50/50 deal With his consent, we will then plant all the wonderful things that still have room. Dreaming is allowed before Christmas 😁🤣 -
thank you Konstantinos for the explanation.

Richard, how much stuff! I absolutely have to come and steal it all from you! But thinking about it, it wouldn't make sense, many species are more tropical for my climate.😥 -
They are developing very well and it is much safer from these jumping, albeit pretty, animals and other cheeky animals 🤗

Konstantinos, that's a wonderful gesture and a very beautiful specimen. It's certainly not easy to part with it. It's getting a new home and I hope it will be just as well cared for there in the long term. -

What do you mean by 'official'? The map was created by a scientific group whether publicly or not funded. It is not an amateur's work. -

PalmTalk is my social media limit, I can drive em crazy enough on palmtalk let alone YouTube! -
Well 💩 There are worse problems to have, but I've got tons of stuff pushing roots out the bottom of their 1g pots. Mangos, papayas, the freaking Loquats are pushing roots out the bottom.
