RULES AND GUIDELINES - PLEASE READ
You must be designated as an IPS Member to list items (start topics) in this forum. You need to request this designation if you are a member. It is not automatic. Contact the Moderator.
IPS Members may not list items for trade from non-member third parties. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.
Palms offered for trade may include a suggested value and/or desired exchange. Photos are encouraged. Listings will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.
The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms.
You agree that by participating in the "Palm Exchange" or otherwise engaging in commerce facilitated by Palm Talk you shall not violate any applicable local, state. federal, or international law or regulation and you are not a party or subject to or bound by any law of any jurisdiction, court or governmental body that is likely to adversely affect any agreements or transactions in which you engage as a result of your participation in Palm Talk.

All, I harvested the fruits on Monday and the seeds finished drying today. I estimate that I have about 2500 seeds available for trade or other transactions. These seeds are from a tree that produces exceptionally tasty fruit, better than any other Butia I have tasted in the past. I ate quite a bit of it during the process....... and I must say that my fiber intake improved as well. If you are interested, please let me know. Thanks, John

I have these 2 Howeas that I need to find a home for. They were used as interior decor for a couple of years, but are no longer needed. Too big for my living room, so maybe there is someone in the Bay Area with either high ceilings or an outdoor space. The palm on the left has lost several leaves since this picture was taken, and is looking a bit sparce at the moment. The palm on the right looks pretty much the same as pictured.

I had a very high success rate with germinating seeds of Pritchardia schattaueri and Sabal mauritiiformis last summer. Because of this, I now have more seedlings of both than I need. I am looking for a Beccariophoenix madagascariensis (the no-windows species), so I would like to trade some seedlings for one. I picked up some seeds at the condo we were staying at in Kihei Maui. My best guess is that it's P.Pacifica but a small possibility of Thurstonii. I took pics of the mother palm but didn't get the right angle to guarantee which seeds these are. When I make it back there next year I'll get the positive ID haha. Both species had seeds ripening but this palm was the only one dropping. PM me for any fair trades , I have about 300 seeds available. T J

Sabal mexicanas between 1-3 years from seed, shade grown. The seed was collected beneath impressive trees in the Harlingen-Brownsville area. 4x 6 gal (ceramic - I'm keeping the pot.) 2x 4 gal (large white bag) 2x 1 gal (small white bag) I'm out of space so I'd like to trade for smaller palms that will live without protection like Rhapis, Arenga, S. minor, S. miamiensis, S. etonia. Chamaerops, etc. A few times a year I drive up to DFW so we could potentially meet in Fort Worth area or somewhere along my route. That goes for the S. causiarum also.
