   This palm is rather hard to come by, which is puzzling because it does remarkably well in northern California. I've been looking for a nice 15 gallon or 24" boxed one for over a year and can't seem to locate one anywhere. Anyone have any leads as to what nursery in Southern California may have this palm. I'd drive all the way down to San Diego to pick one up...

   I recently moved to a new downsized house in Seminole, FL from St Petersburg. I now have a blank slate to plant again. I'd really like to plant at least one Beccariophoenix alfredii. Seminole is located just to the northwest of St Pete (up on the hill, 42 feet above sea level). I'm hoping for a local grower, but I will drive (day trip) to pick one up if necessary. If anyone knows where I could possibly buy one, I'd appreciate it. I'll even consider having it shipped if anyone has had good experiences with that.     I've decided I want to put a big black colocasia in this Muck Hole® in my backyard. It can be a corm it can be a bulb it can be a cutting of a bulb, I don't care. Can trade. I don't know who the other aroid people on here are besides @metalfan and I totally forgot his name but that dude from Rhode Island.     Ok. I wanna replace my mom's ficus Elastica, but she wants a pink one. Everything I'm seeing is either way out of my price range or the seller has reviews about 2 month delays going back to before the blizzard. A small plant is cool, but I can root a cutting. Alocasia corms would be cool to play with too. I just don't wanna pay 60 bucks or wait 2 months.

We have a large truck and are on a buying trip for Northern California Palm Society. members So far we have almost 200 palms ordered from several nurseries in the area.     I'd prefer seeds but I'm not paying $1 each. I think 15-20 would be more than enough. I'd be happy with a handful of seedlings too, but I'm not looking to spend a fortune. We're very ghetto down here. Trades are nice once the weather stays consistently warm and there's a pretty good chance I've got something you'll want or at least consider.
