I am really hoping that someone in the ol' US of A has seedlings or plants for sale. The last time I found time to read forum was the article on the native palms in Australia. I then remembered this palm in Eric Christensen's fabulous garden in the south Bay area. Does anyone have this? I have access to free shipping overnight of FedX through my husbands work, to avoid any freezing in the country at the current time, and would love to have this palm. Let me know.

Pembana Palm Sourcing

Hey everyone, I’ve been reading on here a lot because I’m redoing my mom’s back yard in Miami, and I’m replacing some Areca palms with giant root mounds. Originally I was going to cut back and try to get one surviving trunk to replant and restart the Areca, but then I read on here how a lot of people love the Pembana Palm. It appeals to me because it is clustering, but also has a much neater look + it is full sun. I decided I wanted to replace the Areca with a pembana. I naively bought “solitary” pembana seedlings. I want a clustering variety though. Is it even possible to distinguish if the palm will be clustering or solitary at the seedling stage? Sinc…

Does anyone know where you can buy Washingtonia Filbusta

from a reputable source? I saw three large ones today in my area and have seen others here and would like to give growing them a try. I believe the Filibusta variety is more hardy than the Filifera but please correct me if I am wrong. I am not actually able to distinguish the difference but I assume the ones I have seen in Augusta are Filibusta. They have survived the snow storms without almost any damage and I would love to try to grow some. The picture below is not the ones I saw today but a different one I saw a few months back.
