Mango seeds
by John in Andalucia- 3 replies

I'm looking for seeds of the Thai variety, Nam Doc Mai. Although very popular in its homeland, I read it's not a major export variety. If anyone has a contact in Thailand, I'd be happy to pay for a box of these fruits and them some, in exchange for the seeds. Being polyembryonic, I'm looking to grow my own mangos without the hassle of importing grafted seedlings.

Cyphosperma balansae
by SubTropicRay- 2 replies
To use one of Wal's expressions, Cyphosperma balansae is as rare as hen's teeth here. Is anyone out west willing to ship a 3-5G plant to Florida? Seedlings and 1G plants dampen off too easily and die a slow, horrible death so maybe larger plants are more resilient. Thanks in advance, Ray

It's been four years since I took out the lawn and installed a bunch of small palms in my "bulletproof bed" - the first thing you see as you drive in to my driveway. I made sure to plant it with palms that look good year-round and don't yellow during either the summer or the winter. It's full of Ravenea rivularis, Ravenea glauca, Rhopalostylis, Chambeyronia, Dypsis decipiens, Dypsis onilahensis, and Dypsis leptichelos. They're all big enough now that I'm ready to plants some more, preferably 1-2 gallon palms underneath. Anyone who has a bunch of tiny stuff that would be good for this type of palm bed, and is ready to go in the ground, please let me know. Here are s…
