Looking for two needles in a haystack
by Justin- 0 replies

Both should grow quite well in most parts of California (north or south, coastal or inland). But I can't find a source for either - I just see them in Botanic gardens, who themselves seem to know very little of the plants. Quite frustrating. Thanks in advance to anyone who knows of a source.

I am willing to pay or trade for available plants from my site for them. I'm looking for all species of Braheas, Butias, Jubaeopsis, Sabals, Trithrinax, and Trachycarpus. Let me know what you have and what your asking for in payment. Thanks for your help.

Wanted: Dypsis "diego"
by joe_OC- 4 replies
- 1.1k views
Even though it might be under the complex of Dypsis madagascariensis, I find it to look very different and A LOT more elegant and petite. The fronds are much more upright and tighty with a strong recurve. I just saw both D. diego & madagascariensis side by side again, and I really want to get the D. diego...SO, if anyone has one for sale, please let me know. Joe

Chamadorea Elegans with at least 1 FOOT of CLEAR TRUNK
by DCA_Palm_Fan- 3 replies
- 1.3k views
Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain an Chamaedorea Elegans with at least 1 foot of clear trunk? I have been looking for one for a few years now and have not found one. I am looking for a singular palm, but if there is a grouping in a pot, I would be open to / willing to buy that as well. They can be easily separated. I have several of these, as they are one of my favorite palms and favorite Chamaedorea, but the largest one is only about 24" to leaf tip with about 3-4" of clear trunk. The oldest one I have is the largest, and it is about 4 or 5 years old. Thanks for any help! Here are a few pics of something along the lines I am looking for.

Anyone know of a nursery that will ship a bismackia? I'm looking for 1-15gallon size. I was planning on driving myself, but gas to get there would probably be $60 and take 8+ hours round-trip.
