Wanted: seeds or seedlings from unusual locales
by The Silent Seed- 0 replies

I enjoy collecting plants (or seeds) from all over the world - legally, of course - usually through Ebay, or trades - but I like each of my plants to have an unique story behind it. I'm feeling lucky, so here goes... I'd like to hear from anyone who has seeds, or young plants from weird, unusual, outlandish, locales - rare, or not, it does not matter. It could even just be another country. Maybe some obscure island, or a desert, or what have you - let's make this fun! Again, it doesn't matter what it is - or how rare it is - it's the story that I'm after, associated with the plant/seed. I'm more than happy to cover postage, or trade you for whatever you scare up! I k…

I figured I'd ask this here before looking around at big box stores or sprouting the seeds myself. I'm looking for some small specimens of Roystonea regia and Bismarckia nobilis (either green or silver), one of each. However small you think is worth about $10 for each, ideally somewhere in the Manatee/Sarasota county area for me to pick up, or Brevard county if you don't mind holding them until August. Thanks!

Wanted: the "butt ugly" betafaka
by Mauna Kea Cloudforest- 0 replies
I picked up a betafaka last Spring but it turns out to be some new form that isn't cool tolerant. The older "butt ugly" betafaka is supposed to grow well in cooler weather, if you have one you'd be willing to part with, please let me know. It's supposed to be ugly but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it?

Wanted: Your seedlings, or seeds
by The Silent Seed- 0 replies

I'm always on the lookout for buying (or swapping) for seedlings in larger qty's than, say, 2 or 3. Anything goes - not just Palms. I don't care how common they are. As for seeds - I'd like to improve my own skill with seeds, so I'm game for those as well. I'm not one of those guys with boatloads of dollars, but maybe we can help each other. Thanks!
