Where to purchase Chamaedorea Radicalis?
by knikfar- 2 followers

I can't find Radicalis anywhere online. My local Lowes has the less hardy varities that are just labeled "Cat Palm". But I'd love to try a Radicalis outside in my zone 7b/8a garden. Just can't find them anywhere except for Jungle Music, which has the trunking variety. I've read the trunking form is less hardy so I'll need the non-trunking form. Anyone know where I can purchase some of these?

For Sale: 1 (one) Aggressive Growing Cyrtostachys renda/Red Sealing Wax/Lipstick Palm
by Miami_grower- 3 replies
- 3.6k views
This is a highly unusual Cyrtostachys renda plant, sourced from my 2017 bulk order from a Thai seed company(near Chiang Rai, but disappearing during Covid). It was one of a highly successful (66%) germination group. I selected it because it was a very aggressive grower; other seedlings were 1 1/2" tall, this one double that size. Shortly thereafter, while the general crop was growing their first leaves, this one was sending out shoots, all quickly following with leaves. Then the main stalk of a 7" seedling send out a 2" frond with seeds! The seeds remained small and eventually this main stalk and the seeds dried and dropped, DOA. Since then, this palm has been filling…

A rare Coconut compact Green Dwarf with Sweet husk
by Dr Roland Bourdeix- 2 replies
Do you Know this kind of coconut variety? Here is one of the most extraordinary varieties of coconut tree! A Compact Green Dwarf of Kaipoa type, that the envelope of the young fruits is edible, tender and sweet. For the moment, a single specimen has been found in French Polynesia, on the Tuamotus archipelago, on the Katiu atoll… In most coconuts, the husk (fruit envelope) is hard and inedible. But sometimes the husk of the young fruit is sweet and can be chewed like sugar cane. Its taste resembles that of the heart of coconut palm…. I would like to know if somebody meets this variety in another country? See hd pictures here: https://coconutmuseum.blogspot.com/2022/02…

Large mule palm and Filibusta wanted
by ChicagoPalma- 1 reply
Here in Chicago, it’s definitely possible to grow palms, but strictly cold hardy palms with some decent protection. So I’m wondering if someone has a large mule palm and if someone also has a large Filibusta. Best if they would have maybe around 10ft of trunk. It’s best if possible to ship the palm.
