Anyone is allowed to list sought after items (start topics) in this forum. Inquiries will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.

Please remember that only IPS Members can offer palms and plants for sale. And please do not suggest a vendor unless you are certain they are an IPS Member.

The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.

    Looking to purchase volunteers that they would otherwise be disposed of. Having moved from west to east coast, I would like to rebuild my obligatory "Palms I can't grow in my zone" collection. Mostly Z9 palms that aren't terribly fussy and make decent house plants in winter that can sit on the deck in summer. I'll gladly pay $20 or 30 for a handful of seedlings and shipping. Ebay and etsy are letting me down this year, I'm not wanting to pay "market prices" of $30 per seedling plus another $20 shipping for a single seedling, for common palms.     I want to start a small new collection with unusual plants in old groups. Here's a quick list of things--I'll probably add more later on--that I have been reading about... Gnetum Ascarina, Sarcandra, Chloranthus Amborella Agathis Illicium Nageia (Podocarpus) nagi Wollemia (good luck!) Phyllocladus other odd conifers Some of these are pretty common in horticulture but I hope to find more sources. Others seem to have been around the trade only sporadically.     Does anyone know a good source for Jubaea chilensis seeds? I have tried ordering from eBay and another online seller and both times the seeds were very old and desiccated. I ended up cracking the shells on them all and by the end of that stressful ordeal only had 3 semi viable endosperm. I have had no growth after 2 months of babying them and am about to throw in the towel. 😭 The next step is buying a plane ticket to California and wandering the parks with ziplocks. Lol I appreciate any advice y’all may have. Philippe
