Hi all, am looking for a Johannesteijsmannia altifrons or magnifica that can be shipped in it’s growing container to the northeast US. Have made a few online attempts to purchase in 1-3 gallons sizes this month but am getting replies that they aren’t rooted well enough or no reply when I ask to ship potted and not bare root. Other websites seem just dead, not active. If you are selling or can recommend an IPS Member selling please let me know. Thank you.

This mahonia has been impossible for me to find stateside. I found a couple vendors in the UK but I'm guessing, for phytosanitary cert and customs, the juice will not be worth the squeeze.

Rare, Large Palms
by ahosey01- 2 replies
There are a few palms I would like to buy as fairly large specimens, but are not common in the nursery trade here in Arizona. Thinking 24"-36" boxes. Can anyone point me to a grower that will have large palms that are (at least in my neck of the woods) less common? Thinking Copernicia, Acoelorrhaphe, Sabal, Acrocomia or Phoenix. It can be in California or Florida or Texas or something. Not Hawaii. I work remotely and would have a good time jumping in the truck with the family and a trailer and taking a road trip.

I live in the Tampa Bay area and looking for Washingtonia Robusta palms for my back yard. Can’t seem to find a nursery/farm/seller that has them. Anyone in central Florida know of a place that sells and delivers them? Don’t need anything big — maybe 6-8 feet tall. Unfortunately the frost this winter took all my foxtails and Christmas palms, so want to replace them with something that’s more cold hardy. Other suggestions welcome, too. Thanks in advance!
