RULES AND GUIDELINES - PLEASE READ

Anyone is allowed to list sought after items (start topics) in this forum. Inquiries will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.

Please remember that only IPS Members can offer palms and plants for sale. And please do not suggest a vendor unless you are certain they are an IPS Member.

The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.

I have even gone as far as call theme parks that have them planted to see if any have seeded that they would be willing to sell me.     I saw these everywhere in southern China last week. Quantity and color of seed pods on this tree is quite variable. I saw some that were quite spectacular - completely covered in bright red or hot pink seed pods (I didn't get a photo but the intensity of color was similar to https://trees.stanford.edu/images/Koelreuteria/KOEbip-Rains-fruit.jpg). On the other end of the spectrum some were dull brownish pink. It was not clear if the brighter ones are an intentional cultivar or natural variation. Seed was not ripe yet on any of them. Does anyone have a showier form of this tree and could spare some seeds when they are ripe? Steve

    G'Day, I'm looking to find some seeds for Queen Palm and Christmas Tree Palm. If anyone has any they are willing to give away for free that would be great. If I have to pay I would like a good wholesale source as I buy most of my plants and garden supply wholesale. None of my wholesale suppliers carry Christmas Tree Palm and my preferred wholesaler does not currently have Queen Palm in stock.
