Jubaea chilensis 1 2 3

Does anyone know a good source for Jubaea chilensis seeds? I have tried ordering from eBay and another online seller and both times the seeds were very old and desiccated. I ended up cracking the shells on them all and by the end of that stressful ordeal only had 3 semi viable endosperm. I have had no growth after 2 months of babying them and am about to throw in the towel. 😭 The next step is buying a plane ticket to California and wandering the parks with ziplocks. Lol I appreciate any advice y’all may have. Philippe

Hi everyone, I've been on the hunt for plant/seeds of a king palm/bungalow/archontophoenix which had been rumored to withstand frost and freezing temperatures with no reported damage at 23 degrees (Inge Hoffman was stated to have collected seed from the Australian wilds which tested bullet-proof in her garden during the 90/91 freeze in the SF Bay Area). I'm searching for any seed of this palm variety if it exists. I'll be in Australia in March and will do some exploring but I thought I'd throw the idea to the members of this site - any thoughts? The title says it all. Where can this species/form be purchased from ? I am looking for some plants that are ready to go into the ground, so likely 1 G +. Jungle Music was the 1st place I thought about, but they only seem to have the coastal/lowlands form that have the green leaves. N. TX Cold Hardy Palms is now extinct, so that option is gone. -Matt

Where to purchase Chamaedorea Radicalis?

I can't find Radicalis anywhere online. My local Lowes has the less hardy varities that are just labeled "Cat Palm". But I'd love to try a Radicalis outside in my zone 7b/8a garden. Just can't find them anywhere except for Jungle Music, which has the trunking variety. I've read the trunking form is less hardy so I'll need the non-trunking form. Anyone know where I can purchase some of these?

I live in the San Diego, CA area and am looking for 3-5 Foxtail palms That are 25 gallon or larger. When looking at prices on Craigslist, I'm seeing prices $195.00 to $300.00 for $25 gallon. What should I expect to pay for something 25 gallons or larger here in San Diego? Should I be looking for California grown or are Florida grown but acclimated to local California climate and full sun ok to do? I've tried 6-7 foot tall Foxtails from Home Depot, but those didn't fair well, are dyind/dead, and we're too small. I'm looking for instant gratification and trees that are over 10 ft tall, if possible. I appreciate any help you guys and gals can give me. I'm also interest…
