The South Florida Palm Society will have their first show and sale in eight years. The sale will take place on April 27-28, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on the west side of the University of Miami campus, just steps from the Gifford Arboretum. Hundreds of common, uncommon and extremely rare palms and cycads will be for sale from local growers who are always willing to answer questions about planting and maintaining the species they offer. Greetings, I will be hosting the February 24th meeting for the Southeastern Palm Society in Brunswick, GA, if anyone would be interested in attending. Everyone: I am delighted to announce that we are having our first meeting in Los Angeles County in about four years. Our March 16, 2024 meeting will be at the home and garden of Sergio at 13811 Philadelphia Street, Whittier CA 90601. This will be the third time we have visited Sergio's garden, and we were long overdue. Sergio started the garden back in 2008 and had it fully planted out by 2010. Overall, there's 150 palms and 50 cycads, for a real glorious jungle, plus a big palapa by the waterfall pool, and a palapa in the pool. A true Palm-Themed Scream Dream. August 19th, 2018 1330 Albina Ave, Berkeley, CA Scott and Cyndi Stanfield welcome you to their home and palm garden in North Berkeley. Their 80+ palms (and many cycads and tree ferns) were planted by the late Thomas Roe, also a member of the IPS, over the past 4 decades on a third of an acre.
