CFPACS will hold our annual Holiday Meeting at Rob Branch's in Sarasota on Saturday, December 13. Rob has over 700 palm specimens of 350 plus varieties planted in his one-acre garden, along with many aroids, bamboo. bromeliads, cordylines, flowering trees, succulents and other tropicals. CFPACS has been running a little low right now, but I've volunteered to run the club. I'm not the best organizer but am looking for a stronger year in 2012. We put out one newsletter in July and putting another out this Month. I would like to use the Dec.10th meeting to get better organized and plan out 2012 with dates with meetings/tours/sales. For those of you that live down here in South Florida, does anyone know the exact dates for this annual event? It's a large auction of palms and cycads,(and I believe other plts. as well) that runs the entire evening. The spread of food that is offered is also very delicious as well.
