My last surviving Lipstick palm, sprouted in 2005, eventually exploded into many more, then it did nothing for a while - until I moved it up in pot size. First it expanded its root network, now it's showing some red!

Frank,

At this size and age, I notice they start to move along pretty nicely. Good luck with them over the years, just don't plant one in the ground. :)

Thanks Kris, so sorry to learn the fate of your Lakka baby :(

Michael, it's been a long wait (5 years) but definitely worth it. Is your avatar your own Cyrtostachys? Can we see more pics?

Jeff! It's starting to sink in, what a blast I had seeing your place, sooo many exquisite species in one place! For spring, I definitely will be there! And early this time. The Cyrtostachys elegans, WOW!!! That leaf is so green it's almost black. I hope I can fertilize it and care for it and not let it turn pale green, let's see...
