Here is our Dypsis onilahensis. This one looks different than several of the ones I've seen, super waxy white. Finally making viable seed too.

Braden,

I sure hope you or your dad remembers where that one came from. It would help me to figure out a mystery concerning this palm.

Dean,

Are you a pretty "slick" thinker?

Hi Dean! Yes I do remember, I got it from Floribunda as a seedling maybe 7yrs ago. It is a vigorous grower and has thick layer of white waxy powder on the leafbases. The trunks are about the thickness of a beer can.

Bob,

Thanks for the info. I wish I could say it helped with the mystery. But between you and BS, I'm more confused than ever.

I'm changing my name to Deckenia Dean. I'm sure I can keep that genus straight. :)

If I were to remove all the suckers and show the main stem it would look just like the one Gileno posted.

While you are removing the suckers, you might want to PHOTOSHOP it green, to look just like Gileno's!

Sunburn, what is this sunburn stuff.   Mine is in full sun, do I need to move it to shade, partial shade, what, what, what?
