Saw these flowers out on the way to work this morning .. So large , must be hanging down a few meters easily .

Had to stop and get some good pictures on the way home . Old infloresences evident hanging down yhidden amongst the vines . These must set lots of seeds as I am always getting seedlings sprouting in pots under trees were birds roost.

The length of the climbing spikes hanging down are impressive .

I'm surprised how well C moti takes the cooler weather. I think all you need is some shade and plenty of water. I have some in pots sitting permanently in my fishpond all year round and they love it. They're agonisingly slow at first, but they're speeding up now. I have about 100 of them. In a few years don't break into my property. :mrlooney:

1 m a year here Tyrone ! Have been keeping an eye on a self sown seedling along the edge of the gully . Surprised at the speed of growth
