The Northern Calif. chapter of the IPS will hold a meeting on June 8th at the home of Edith Bergstrom in Atherton. Edith is our chapter secretary, a botanical artist, and has composed a fantastic 2 acre garden of more than 200 palm species. Visit our website for details and directions at www.palmsnc.org

Wouldn't I love to see Edith's garden! She is quite an adventurer; I met her during the IPS biennial on a whitewater rafting trip on the Pacuare River in Costa Rica. Pura vida, Edith! From her description, parts of the garden are very mature, and I expect it's all laid out with her artist's eye. Wish I could be there.
