They look like Veitchia's, Fox Lady's or possibly Bentinckias...don't know why their famous.

They're magnificent Foxy Ladies. I remember these clearly when I was up there last year. Gotta love those Foxy Ladies. Being in tropical Cairns, they were probably seedlings 3 yrs ago. :)

I've seen those Foxy Ladies and they are nice specimen. Are they famous because they are the first to produce viable seed?

Hi John, when you coming home for goodness sakes.

John you are correct, the two foxy ladies in the photo at Flecker gardens, one variegated and smaller, are from the very first batch of foxy lady palms cultivated and I understand Mikey himself played a significant part in making the first seed observations of this hybrid palm which has entranced the palm community ever since.
