I have this Licuala Mattanensis that has some darker green pattern on the leaves. I can't say that it is a mottling pattern but it certainly is different from my other mattanensis that is just plain green.

Mapus are known to be slow growing but this one seems to be faster and more robust --even compared to the plain green.

in one book I saw a Licuala Mattanensis var 'Tigrinum' that has a simillar pattern but much more distinct between the light and dark green.

Is this the same palm? Will the pattern become more distinct?

Any licuala experts out there??? Mikey you know I mean you---:mrlooney:
