Well, the 2nd Ratpack tour kicks off next Friday (29th August), in conjunction with the Brisbane Palm and Cycad Society.

This is a four day event with a road trip from Brisbane to Rockhampton, a tour of the Rocky Botanical Gardens, Day trip to Blackdown Tablelands, Trip to Byfield, Tour of the best private garden in Rocky with BBQ and Palm Society members from Rocky, plus Kershaw gardens, a nursery visit then back down to Brisbane.

It should be an action packed trip!

Everyone is welcome to attend! PM Daryl, Wal or Newcal if interested.

Have fun guys... How many are going at this stage? I would love to join you, but we have been taking too many holidays this year... and I have to see my parents on the school holiday as they haven't seen the kids in 2 years. So... maybe next time...

Regards, Ari :)

The Hugo Lasen fernery is a must see, as are the big old Kauri pines. Remember Mr Iwasaki, he gave us a Japanese garden, Joh our premier at the time gave him 2000 acres of coastal wilderness.

I will see you all in Rockhampton

Wow, Darryl, I'm impressed. About the getting in and out of Tropicals Rockhampton in one hour! That must be a whirlwind tour. Sounds like lot of fun though. I'm already looking forward to the photos of this epic PRA.

Robert, you haven't seen the Ratpack in action! When we hit a nursery, we take no prisoners. Like a pack of hungry dingos!

Ari, we were going to collect him with the front of the car... :winkie:

Seriously, seeing as he is from south of the border, he has to fly into Rocky, then go through customs, set his watch time forward and be de-loused for cockroaches. Once he is all cleaned up we will meet him and enjoy his usually chirpy and enthusiastic banter.

Hopefully will catch up with you next week after I catch up with Mikey on Monday in Cairns

After being with the other members of the rat pact pack i promised to be fully disinfected before arriving :-)

Flying to Rocky seems much nicer than a 7 hour drive from brisbane. BUT will miss out on all that laughter on the trip up. looking forward to catching up with the rat pack
