Biggest Copernicia Baileyana...

I've heard there's a biggun down Matty B's way (Lemon Grove or El Cajon).

The one at the socal palm meeting was awesome, glad I have one in the ground. Just wondering how fast (or slow) they really are here. Mine pushed three or four leaves this summer, not bad I thought.

If global warming means I can grow Cocos Nucifera, then bring it on....

I've never heard of it.  If anyone knows where it is I'll go take a pic.  I'd love to see one as big as Ralph's.

I've heard the same rumor about a C baileyana in El Cajon.  I think along with that rumor was that the same guy had a Marojejya in full sun with a dripper on the crown going 24/7.  I'm also pretty sure Geoff Stein knows who it is.

Jody, I "have" to ask.... when you say We, was this Baily yours ? Now Jody, can I be nosy and ask how much a Baily of this size sells for? I guess around $ 18k for the Baily alone without digging and moving to its new home. Hope you dont mind my questions, but if you dont ask you dont learn :) while Im at it 1 more Q.once a Baily starts to trunk does its growth accelerate ?. Pete :)
