CLAVIJA DOMINGENSIS (Not a bloody palm)

Can anyone out there help me locate seeds for a Clavija Domingensis? Bag of 50 clean seeds - this is a tree I have been trying to locate and I realise I am talking to a bunch of Palm Freaks but the knowledge you blokes display - this should not be a problem to you as it comes from South America. Some of the common names for it are Lengua de Buey, Langue de boeuf, Haiti Clavija. You will likely find it from one of your mates in Haiti, but I am having trouble locating seeds on this side of the world. Can anyone help me please. This will keep me out of jail with my wife and we ALL know what that means  . I have had a bet with her on this tree and I have been unable to deliver so I have a lot of face to save.

Have a nice day and thanks for reading this

Hi:

Sorry for the delay. This beautiful plant is almost extinct in Haiti. I have tried for years to have Haitian friends bring me a plant...to no avail. They confuse Mother-in-Laws tongue for it.

My friends at the Jardin Botanico Nacional Rafael M. Moscoso de La Republica Dominicana in Santo Domingo have been successful germinating seed (they can be picky). If you speak spanish or know someone who does, I can put you in contact with someone who may be able to help.

I am lucky enough to have 5 babies growing in my back yard in Miami.

I have several Clavija plants in Puerto Rico given to me by a friend who got the seeds from Ecuador. I don't think I have any photos but will try to take some when I visit in April.

If mine ever seed I'll certainly share.

I don't know the species but my friend probably got the seed here http://www.guaycuyacu.net/seed_sell.html. I have never ordered from this site, but my friend has even visited the farm and I'm the lucky recipient of many rare gifts from this seed source. Lots of neat stuff!
