First sunset series from afar  in awhile..  More testing this and that w/ this camera than a serious shoot ( Didn't even bring the tripod )  but,

Even on a fairly tame evening ..would say things are off to a pretty good start..  

Seems crazy, considering how often i'm out here but,  ..first time shooting from this particular location at sunset  ...Ever..

Missed " Touch Down " < When the sun reaches the horizon > because i was involved in a conversation with and taking shots for ( with their phone ) a group of women out celebrating sending off a friend, who is moving to San Jose  ( ..of all places... ) with her husband..  An even more interesting coincidence,  the house they'll be moving into, is located in part of my old neighborhood. 

I'll have to send some good energy their way.. 

Anyway..

Already seeing limitless potential here for the year ahead   ...Sunrises too, If i'm up, ...and when i'm not chasing either,  somewhere further afield, ha ha.

Decided to hang around well after the sun set to get a feel for how the evening sky looks from here. Slightly blurred since i didn't bring the tripod ..but not awful for being shot in hand..











Ok, these two are a bit grainy, lol..





Needless to say ...Since the gates stay open till 10 PM,  this will be an optimal spot for early / mid- evening bolt chasing come Monsoon season...
