There are sources in the U.K., but I don't believe they ship outside the U.K. If you find a source that will ship to the U.S. as well, please let me know!

This Scheffy was first discovered in the Fan Xi Pan area of northern Vietnam by Bleddyn & Sue Wynn-Jones of Crug nursery here in the UK and you are correct they do not ship outside the UK in fact they have only just started shipping inside the UK............best of luck trying to get one they are dam fine plants along with Schefflera taiwaniana.

Hi,

So, what would it take to have someone overthere ship one to the states? Just wondering.....

Thats a nice Scheff, is it hardier than Schefflera delavayi ?

We are growing S. heptaphylla (syn. S. octophylla). It seems fairly hardy as it has tolerated 26F in the past with no damage where as a nearby S. actinophylla was killed to the ground.

The plant picture I posted was the bought size Jeff could you imagine the difficulty shipping a 5 foot tall delicate Scheff at least 6 feet wide into the US, where no doubt you are not supposed to ship any way, this would take an enormous ammount of work and good luck.

If the nursery does not want to do it there must be a reason I fetched mine as I decided not to leave it to the post, even here, but travelled the 4 hour drive to collect it early last year.

Eric I do not have any other Sheff apart from the one I mentioned so cannot comment on the hardiness issue though if you posted your query on our "Growing on the Edge" forum here in the uk you would get the answers for sure.
