Bougainvillea and it's color is impressive. It especially looks crisp after a cool down:

Very nice Bubba. I have noticed them blooming around town here too.

Very nice!!

How do you keep the ones on the side of the house so neat and well behaved-- they are usually very unruly.

Its winter over there right? Do yours always flower around this time of the year? Over here in the Philippines they bloom most profusely in the hottest and dryest time of the year --around March and April. I thought that what triggered them to bloom was was the heat and water stress.

Gene, These are not mine but "area children".As far as keeping them clinging to walls,it requires work and pruning and lot's of it.As far as time-frame of bloom,it seems year round but to me they make their best impression here in Winter.

I remember meeting you briefly at the Fairchild sale a few years back.I wish we had more time to talk then. Hope all things are good!

Keith - yeah, that was a pretty packed trip to Fairchilds since I wanted to see everything ( I don't get a chance to visit florida very often) and the annual sale was going on. Everything was way too brief.

I remember your face but at that time I didn't really know all the personalities in Palmtalk. We should have Palm Talk ID name tags in those events :D "Hi I am: Gene Barcelona, On Palmalk I am: Gbarce"
