Mine is badly burnt here in Jacksonville. I hope it survives. Will protect it this week as we're in for another hard freeze. Looking forward to spring!

Summers are great, 90f/32c in the day & 70f/21c at night with plentiful rain & sun

Winters are subtropical with occasional frosts and freezes. Tropical cyclones happen.

We have a few Royal palms in the warm microclimates but Coconuts freeze.

I am a Kayaker, Hiker, Bicyclist, and amateur Photographer that loves the outdoors.

Wow, I never knew they got that tall either!

I think it is pretty cool looking.

They are probably the slowest palm I grow.

I have 3 I have grown from seed, about 6 yrs ago, and they are in 5g and are still not pinnate!

Maybe only a foot tall w/ 4-5 leaves.

Look fine just not growing.

Think I will repot them and see if different soil helps.

I have three. One in the ground and two in containers....not as slow as you may think.

This is a great Syagrus for containers and has been PROVEN to do quite well in interior, indirect light with lower humidity. Hotels and condominiums use this palm in containers and is popular as such.
