Beautiful pictures, Gene. I think I just bought a small one in a 3gallon pot, but I don't know the botanical name for it. Can someone tell me? Thanks,

It is Mansoa hymenaea. It is often misidentified and sold as M. alliacea or Cydista aequinoctialis.

Its a good bloomer here but it got nipped by frost last week. It grows back quickly

I have one of these started over one of my orchid houses. When it covers the top I won't need any shade cloth! They are beautiful in bloom.

Eric,

Thanks for the quick answer, I'm not surprised at all. You, with hands down are the expert on flowering plants here.
