Hello,

I got this palm from Ivory Coast and it was claimed to be the royal palm, but now as the seedling has grown it does not look like a roystonea does it????

To me it looks like an Archontophoenix alexandrae.

I have an Archontophoenix still I do not know what is its exact species, I noticed that the difference between the two was that on the Alex. I have there was kind of small hair under the palm "leaves"... for sure they look really similar

Looks like it could indeed be an Archie, but flip up the leaves and give us a gander of the base and the undersides of the leaves . . . . .
