Its still cold in North Florida

Heres 3 photos of palms , the Brahea can take the cold but the others ( Triangle and Jubeopsis) are still covered, Dogs like the weather ...

cabin fever is kicking in.

Ed, your photos always inspire me. the Brahea is awesome, never heard of that one before.

you have to have the largest Triangle palm in North Florida, too cold for them here. hopefully oneday I get to see your garden in person.

nice dogs as well, my dog really gets invigorted with the cold as well. (rottweiler/coon hound)

What lows did you record this winter?

yes, Ed. it is indeed a very wel grown B. aculeata. you dont hear much about those B. aculeata's. i wonder why because it's a very nice species! do you think it is as hardy as B. armata?

GOod to hear from you. --- I got the B acualeata from IPS seedbank a long time ago perhaps 20 years. It has really grown the last 3 or 4 years. I dont know how cold hardy it is -- it has only been tested down to 21F or so. but alot of cold winters in the 90's

I dont know actually how cold it got possibly 22F -- but some hard frost in the open. I dont know how much longer i can keep covering the Triangle though---
