Perry Glenn sold me this 15 gallon Parajubaea sunkha and his nursery is in Northern California and I live in San Diego (Bonita). Well he gave me a great deal and also drove it down to the PSSC meeting that occurred about a month ago in the Orange County area. Paul was very generous and agreed to pick the palm up for me and bring it back to San Diego. I unfortunately could not make the meeting due to family issues. Here is a shot of the palm. THANKS PERRY AND PAUL!!!!

Well a week ago I finally got to planting it in my front yard. Here it is planted with Dypsis decaryi, a bottle palm, and Brahea armata and Serenoa repens (Georgia silver form apparently) in the background. The bottle palm is mine but skirts my property line and will ultimately need to be moved for space reasons but the bottle palms don't have much roots so that will be easy (unless I let it get too big and then they weight a bit). There is a Phoenix roebelinii in there too which is supposed to be a form from Vietnam with propensity to form a great number of stems. The roebelenii will shortly get dug and transplanted to my neighbor's yard and replaced with something more exotic perhaps a Foxy Lady. I suppose one way to decide how serious we have the palm bug is to count the number of common palms we start with and then figure out how many of these we dug and gave away as we crave the space for something special.

THat is a very nice plant! I didn't think they'd grow like that in a pot.

They're MUCH faster in the ground.
