Well,

Better late than never. I knew you could put together something that we would find entertaining and informative. I can't wait.

Dean,

That is a great magazine. I even got to see it ok with my funky cell phone modem internet service.

Thanks Don,

That's really good to know. It seems as if any problems are mostly restricted to older slower computers, and not to the internet service speed. If you have a chance, a PM with your computer stats would be informative.

Dean,

You've done a fantastic job! As you already know (since you're on the phone with Karolyn this very minute.... :) ), Karolyn and I both looked at it and really enjoyed what you've done. Very impressive! Found out from our 'computer guy', who was here yesterday, that the computer I typically use for PalmTalk may not have the necessary horsepower (It's nice when you know all the technical terms! ), so I accessed it from a different, more powerful, computer. Had no problems.

One question: how about a name? "Palm Mag Online" sounds a bit too generic! Could be an interesting contest for Forum members!

Thanks Bo,

I was pleased you and Karolyn enjoyed and could view it without problems. Karolyn's personal call to express her pleasure made it all worthwhile. And I agree, the name is rather mundane. I'm sure there is something better, but it hasn't hit me yet. But then again, the IPS "magazine" has a rather generic sound to it as well. :)

I've made a personal commitment to do at least one more. So if any one has a better name, I'm all ears.

Maybe a dedicated thread if you're serious about looking for a name?

Or better yet. If anyone has a suggestion, a PM would be great.

Worked great with an up-to-date Vista Windows machine using Firefox.

Impressive, although I wonder if all the multimedia action and sounds might become a bit annoying during extended views.

Tom,

Thanks for the info.

As far as sounds - the background sound can be turned off from one of the control buttons, and the others, of course can be controlled with your own volume control. But your take on the motion will be considered. I think I will keep most slideshows limited to a link - it is much easier, and the quality of the slideshow is much better. Plus it is easier to view for those on slower computers. I hope most people enjoy the animated photos, as that is a unique feature. But if not, that would also save a lot of work and bandwidth.

Again, the fist attempt at anything leaves a lot to evaluate and learn from. That is why I appreciate the feedback so much.
