Hyophorbe Verschaffeltii:

Hyophorbe Indica (green). I got her as seedling last winter with spider mites. I was surprised that she survived. May be she is more resistant than Lagenicaulis. Lagenicaulis in the same size with less mites died…

These are the most :winkie::D of my indoor palms. In summer no problem! But in the winter months the humidity in the heated rooms is very low. A humidifier, spray with water (daily) and ventilation are necessary. Nevertheless I lost many seedlings last winter by spider mites and mealy bugs.

Sandra

Wow this is the exact post I needed to see. I'm about to do the same in New York. Just picked up small Dypsis decaryi to start! This inspires me to expand my indoor collection!
