Dear Friends :)

Today we are going to see some illustration on repotting work conducted on Sabal Tamaulipas, these seedlings were raised from seeds sent to me by Dear Brother M@x.

The grouth rate is on par with any other sabal,as far as my observation goes up to this stage ! And those having visuals & information on this beautiful palm kindly shed some light on this S.Tamaulipas variety.

I hope you will all enjoy seeing the step by step visuals in the following post,as much as we enjoyed doing this repotting work.. :) And Dear M@x thanks very much.

Thanks & Love,

Kris :)

Mine has grown very slowly too, I planted it in the ground thinking it would be happier with more room to spread its roots and yet it still only has small leaves after 3 years

Dear Krishnaji :)

Thanks for that useful feedback,i thought i was doing something wrong...And felt that was the reason for this palm to grow slow.

Lots of love,

kris :)

Kris: I concur. My S. tamaulipas moves slow. It also takes quite a bit of heat before it starts moving again in the spring. My little guy is just going palmate. It's been in the ground 2 years. Purchased it from YuccaDo here in Texas.

Here is a pic of 1 of 3 S.tamaulipas babys I am now growing. I have high hopes for these palms and I know they will be able to withstand the future freezes in my area.
