I'd like to see some pictures of a Kentia that's been growing indoors for long enough to be trunking. I'd imagine that there are some in airports or malls, along with people's houses. Feel free to post some nice outdoor Kentias as well if you'd like. Thanks

I made a post w/ picture of palms at the South Coast Plaza mall in OC, Ca. If you do a search you'll see a lot of cool palms including a trunking kentia.

Nice! I'll post them here so others can see them too. That would be really neat to have something that sized in my house! I'm waiting patiently for mine to start trunking. It's been picking up speed since I got it though. At the rate it's been going since I repotted it into a larger pot, water it every day and put it in a place where it gets a couple of hours of diffused sun every day it'll grow 6 new fronds per year or so. I can't wait until it has a few nice rings of trunk.

There are several trunking Kentias at South Coast Plaza. Most of them are get a fair amount of natural filtered sun.

Everyone and some books too, said to put kentias outside every couple of months to freshen them up and it also gives them a bit of new growth. Well my biggest one was just over 2 metres high and had 2 cms of trunk. Somehow I got it outdoors, hosed it down, and let it 'freshen' up. Went outside next morning and discovered that grasshoppers like fresh kentia too! Every single leaf eaten down to the rachis. Next time it can stay stale indoors and look nice.

Here you go Zeeth. This is growing at an office building complex here in San Diego. It's planted in the ground and the hallways are open to the natural climate.

It's going up through the space towards the second floor where there's a skylight on the second floor roof.

That kentia looks really nice, I wonder what it'd look like if the trunk was cleaned up a bit. Mine is so far the best indoor plant I've had.
