Interesting possibility, planting Açai in Costa Rica.

I read the story about the "antioxidantes" but right now ...there is no market yet. Sooner or later there will be a demand for these berries.

I will look into it!

Check out this information from Embrapa the Brazilian agricultural research agency on açai, O cultivo de açai . It is in Portuguese but you should be able to understand it ok. There is a good local market here for açai for making ice cream and other commercial uses as well as the pulp for making drink. The export market is also strong currently.

I feel very comfortable with Portuguese.

Açai seems to be a palm with future. There may be some already here , I will plant some . The climate here is comparable with Amazonas!
