I planted out some Cyperus giganteus this spring and it has grown well. The foliage on the top of the stalks is enormous, more than twice the size of Papyrus, C. papyrus. The first photo shows a comparison; C. giganteus on the left, C. papyrus on the right and C. papyrus 'King Tut' ( a 1-2ft dwarf form) in the middle. Its supposed to grow 7-9ft and is native from central Mexico all the way to Uruguay.
