Coincidentally, I renewed online the day before your notice went up. :) It was a snap.

Nothing personal, but apes are not the best at providing incentives. To pique some interest, maybe you could mention the impending Annual Banquet scheduled for January 16th at the Island Palms Hotel in San Diego, always a heavily attended event. This year the guest speaker is Rene Coativy who will extoll the palms of the Seychelles and Cuba -- double coconuts anyone?

Or maybe you could mention the Palm Journal, arguably the best publication in the palm world for palm growing enthusiasts, featuring articles written by palm luminaries world wide, the subject of the coming issue being -- ?? Do tell!

Or you could mention the fantastic bi-monthly Meetings featuring outstanding private palm gardens and fast-paced auctions of rare and unusual palms, where the palm-obsessed meet with palm fanatics to get the inside scoop on palm resources, discuss germination rates, winter protection strategies, growth rates, watering strategies, palm prices, plans for the next PRA, sushi, and best locations for growing palms, all while scarfing down Pretty Darn Good Food from the potluck.

It's a friendly, varied group, with neophytes, palm masters, and everything in between. Please join us!

I think the next issue of the PSSC Journal is Pritchardia. I'm really looking forward to that one! Also, the PRA Team has contributed a hilarious article rumored to be published sometime in the near future.

Matt is a closet FL member, do not renew his membership. He is no longer one of us. We have all seen the pictures of him and Paul fawning all over themselves and FL members on their trip. Makes me sick.

Fawning! Wow, strong words from a fella coined 'Little Lenny' by the PRA Team in their newest article: SHADOWRIDGE AREA, WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER GO THERE AKA THE SUCKY GARDEN OF LITTLE LENNY GOOGER

Kim - if you saved your pearls for the Journal instead of casting them before these swine, we'd be a sight better off; I went ahead and renewed your enrollment anyway

Jason - isn't PayPal a huge convenience? Incidentally, if there are some charges from Jumbo's Clown Room & the NoTell Motel on your Mastercard, take my word - it was worth it.

There are a couple of terrific articles written by Don Hodel - the 2nd written by Marianne - coming out in the Pritchardia issue. Hopefully before Hanukkah. Ah, palm-heart kreplach & gefilte fish - can't wait...

Yes, the paypal link makes it very easy! Thanks for setting that up. I'm looking forward to the next Palm Journal. Should be a good one. Is there anywhere that I can see a list of the back issues and what the major topics / features were in each? I need to build up my collection a bit and can't afford to order all of them!
