El Hoagie had the journal ready the beginning of November - unfortunately, there are a lot of links in the chain with delays to boot...

Some folks have already expressed concern with the accompanying renewal notice in effect stating This is the last journal you'll receive unless you renew; for the record, everyone who is already paid up through 2010 and beyond will continue receiving journals and newsletters (clearly). Hang on to the SASE, send me Easter greetings, or whatever.

Spread the word.

Over&out.

Got it.

Reading it.

Thankful for it.

Can you tell how current my membership is? (I thought I did several years last time, but that may have been awhile back)

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Top notch as always. Keep up the good work.

I got it and it looks great. This is my favorite issue so far...I also recieved a renewal notice. I let my membership lapse last year and just renewed a few months ago. Can you or anyone explain why I now need to renew my membership. I recieved the back issues of palms for the year, but I hope this is not the only thing my dues are going toward. Shouldn't my membership be for one year from when I paid my dues? Thanks, Aaron

Aaron -

Sorry to say, membership is good for the calendar year from 1/1 through 12/31, with dues received after November 1 considered for the subsequent year unless otherwise noted.

I got it and it was late, but worth the wait . . . . .

(Treated myself to a good scream in the law library. Felt good!)

LOVE the TWO articles by Dr. Hodel, and apparently, his wife about Pritchardias!

PZ, did you get my check for 2009?

I got it and I've already read the whole thing. This is one that I'll need to keep out and go through again with the Hodel Pritchardia Supplimental for reference.

Surprise beauty that I didn't know about: Pritchardia arecina. I always got it confused with P. affinis (now maideniana) so I just wrote it off as an ugly duckling.
