This is a bismarkia that I planted about a year ago. The fronds close to the ground are the ones that were the height of the tree when I planted it. It did real well last year through the dry season. I have planted 3 more near this and have more seedlings I am going to put in the ground.

Thanks for the comments Gileno,

How was that "slight touch" of Henry...! Amazing what football players can do to go to the World Cup...!!

But don't worry too much, I think they will (the French) need more than that to even qualify for the next round...!

The most interesting group will actually be Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast... Some surprises maybe...?

But hey, by this time, the weather will be fine again and palms will be happy...So we will too!!

Palm sung blue, everybody knows one..

Here's what is likely the very last photos of these palms that I'll take. I have been informed that the new owner is going to try his best to retain the bismarkias in his landscape plans. He also has told us that he plans to keep any plant within 3 to 5 metres from the back fence which would mean that the big biz would stay along with many other decent palms as well.

Here you go blue lovers, my two bizzies and one Sabal:
