And what is seen in your stills is it the entire fruit or is it the seed ? :hmm: Since anywhere in the net when they show stills of this Hyphaene seeds they show this kind of fruit,which looks like dried cashew nut fruit !

Hi Kris,

It is the entire fruit. Although its not very fruit like, it has a very tough husk like outer shell with very strong fibers, and it is very hard. Here are a few pics of one cut open. The inside of the outer shell has the look, color and textture of a coconut shell, as well as the outside of the seed. The inside of the seed is about the color of coconut flesh, but is very hard.

This is a vaction home in lake havasu AZ, all that growth is fron a 5 gal plamted 2 years ago, they love that 120+ degree heat, i just planted another one 2 weeks ago and going out next weekend to plant a hyphaeme thebaica, brahea clara, coopernicia alba, and a blue sable, here is a pix of a 5 gal bismark planted at the same time.
