I was just going through some old photos and come across a photo I took in Queensland of a Phoenix roebelenii with numerous heads.

It is quite amazing.

If you have photos of multihead palms, please add them to the post.

A Hydriastele ramsayi I found nearly 4 years ago. Counted up 7 heads, but closer look it's 2 plants. One has 5 heads and the other 2. I should go back and try to relocate it, see how it's grown.

PREPARE YOURSELF!!! :rage::rolleyes::lol::mrlooney:

Haven't seen any new ones lately to add... I'd love to see some new finds! :D

Hi Pious Palms,

Great link, I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like the Borassus flabellifer Distichous leaf form, that is really something different.

Also spiral coconuts, that is wild....

Thanks for posting them

Wow. It would be great if you could remember. Did you take the photo or how did you get it. I'm attaching a 1917 photo of a similar cabbage palm taken by John Kunkel Small. Notes say he took it in a hammock near an abandoned Indian Mission.

Here's the source

And here's an outline of cabbage palm anomalies (known and theoretical). I have examples of many, but not all. If you (or anyone) know of cabbage palm anomalies, I'm interested in photos, locations, etc.
