A bismarckia with two sexes in the Palmetum?

A few weeks ago we got a visit from the local school of agriculture. They took these pictures.

This is the main group of Bismarckia nobilis:

There they "caught" a Bismarckia with some unusual flowering. There are two sexes up there - Am I wrong?

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Dear Carlos :)

Nice visuals...And the close up stills of the Fruiting bismarkia looks like a normal female palm. And those empty stalks are those areas which did not get fertilised(pollinated)to form seeds.

Thanks for those stills.

love,

kris :)

I think Kris got it right first time. I couldnt distinguish any opposite sex inflorescences. (and I am a desperate old maid so I know about that kind of thing) Nice photos of the bizzies and the pond too.
