While in LA my second garden tour was from Dave. This is my second time visiting and it was a lot easier to process the names and ID's of each palm. The first time I visited I was so overwhelmed I lost my bearings. The great thing about his garden is it is located just about as far away from the ocean you can get without being in the dry inland where I have my garden on the the other side of the hill. Same hill different conditions. I can appreciate the pioneering of possible species in the area. Thanks Dave for the inspiration.

Dave standing next to a Parajubea for scale... I think this is my new favorite palm.

Nice Garden Dave...You have a lot of room, that must be nice...unlike me and my postage stamp sized yard...I guess I need to transplant my R.glauca...again...Yours certainly doesn't look like it going to be a mid-sized palm...they both look fat and happy...nice job!

I don't know Ralph, he is a great steward...I have seen his yard...It has a vast selection of palms and tropical plants...not much sun hits the ground...I'll bet he's not married...If you are student of Velez U. I hope your wife, if your married, is understanding and loves a lot of palms too...If your not married, I still see some spacing between the trunks...Why are you holding back? Just kidding...all your palms look very happy...The Chamb. macro in the first post looks outstanding...

Great job Dave. Your garden looks really really good. Compared to the pics I saw years ago you can see the all the hard work you've been doing. The garden has really matured nicely. Truly an inspiration my friend. I think I sold you that botryophora last year at the Quail sale.

Yeah,I know what you mean.

Every time I walk out the door, I do a double-take, and say, "hey, wait a minute, this can't be my house! There aren't enough containers!" Oh, but in the backyard, different story.

OG just took pics of the front and side, except for the Ravenala and Roystonea in the back.
