In contrast to chris.oz's "Ugly Palms" thread, I was wondering what people's idea of the perfect palm would be. I'm not meaning an existing species but which aspects of certain species would you put together to create your perfect palm? If anyone's good with photoshop, feel free to show us what it would look like too!

I'll start with the foliage of a Corypha opening with the red of a Chambeyronia, supported on the trunk of a Ceroxylon with a cone of Socratea stilt roots.

That would be an unbelievable "mutant" palm. Should throw in the crownshaft of the dictyocaryum lamerickanium. Oh, and some coconuts should hang from the fronds of the corypha.

Living in the valley of the dirt people in the inland empire, "A mullet on every head and a methlab in every kitchen." If you can't afford to live in the tropics, then bring the tropics to you!

After I posted, the Dictyocaryum crownshaft came to mind, so good call with that one!! Let's make them double coconuts actually :D

Reminds me of Jack Black in the movie "Shallow Hal" explaining to Tony Robbins his idea of the perfect woman...
