Since I spent some very good years in my early twenties in Brazil I will put one of my favorites of the time up, Preta Pretinha of the Novo Baianos. This was a very good time for Brazilian music as the country was going through the final phases of the military dictatorship.

Brazilian music and is very diverse and dynamic. And, is one of the great things about living here.

Jimi Hendrix and his rendition of Sgt. Peppers performed in front of McCartney,Clapton and Harrison one day after it's release at an English pub. It launched his career as McCartney lobbied to get him invited to Monterey Pops, where Jimi did the rest.
