A friend of ours brought this over yesterday! It was swimming around in the ocean just the day before! Actually I think the Salmon was from Mitsuwa, but the Hamachi, Yellow Tail was the local catch.

By the way, they gave us two nice fat filets of Yellow Tail as well. I oiled them up and seared them...mmmmmmmmmmmm

Nice prep work by someone too.....

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Ugh...I tried sushi once and as there was nowhere to spit it out without being caught I had to swallow the first mouthful. Never again. I like my fish in batter, fried and with some nice hot chips to keep them company.
