Hi all,

I am interested in getting some tree ferns but have so far been unable to locate any other than C. cooperi and D. antarctica. I am especially interested in getting C. medullaris. Smaller sizes would be ideal.

I have a large plant of C. medularis, but I am incompetant to propagate this fern from spore. Also, C. medularis has a reputation for being much more difficult than C. cooperi. I would be happy to mail spores to a propagator in exchange for a few of the resultant plants. I also have two very vigorous plants of Sadleria cyathoides. Let's make some ferns!

Thanks for the response Darold. I actually have spores for medullaris but also seem to be incompetent in germinating them. I'm trying again though, this time using the method in the video on the fern factory, we'll see how it goes. If it works I may have to take you up on the offer! I was reading the "Growing on the Edge" message board and was amazed by how easy it is for Europeans to get these ferns, one will die and they will be like "I have to go to the store to get another". Outrageous!
