Encephalartos "Blue" sclavoi

Recommended Posts

This is the rare Blue form of Encephalartos sclavoi. The caudex is 4.5''. The blue is comparable to the eugene-mairsaii complex. Normal E. sclavoi's are green and still rare. I am looking to get $1,000 for it, ($222 per inch).

Wow! That is a blue, blue E. sclavoi. I have one blue E. sclavoi but it is not even as close to being this blue! I also have a couple green ones to compare to and there definitely is a difference. When I visited your nursery, I saw some incredible cycads but I don't recall having seen this one.
