Hello,

So this summer I gathered a bunch of seeds from around San Diego and Santa Barbara: Kentias, rhopalostylis sapida, rhopalostylis baueri, a phoenix canariensis/rupicola/ hybrid that I don't know what it is, dypsis decaryi, butia capitata etc. Because I'm just starting with the seed growing thing I've been successfully able to grow a really nice bunch of weeds in my community pot containers. However just recently....my phoenix hybrid seeds.... germinated! These are my first germinated seeds, so I guess I'm a first-time proud papa. They look like the ones in this attached pic.

I don't have any green leaflets yet, just germinated seeds.

So...now what do I do? Do I take the seeds out and re-pot in smaller containers or do I wait for some leaflets to come up?

Thanks for the advice.

I would repot them. Surprised the decaryi didn't pop first, quick starters around here. You might wait a while on the butia, although you might try the delidding method.
