Coccothrinax miraguama and alta?

Did some research on the distiction between C. alta and C. argentata. Interestingly, Riffle's book in 1998 characterizes these as separate varieties, C. alta indigenous to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands with C.argentata native to the Bahamas and South Florida. Both referred to as Silver Palms but alta taller at 25 feet with argentata at 15 feet.Alta's leaves are rounded, approximately 3 feet wide with 3 foot petioles. Argentata's leaves are rounded, 2 feet wide with 2 foot petioles.

As seems to happen, in Riffle and Craft's 2003 disertation, alta is no longer mentioned and argentata seems to take over. The only thing I see in the comparison of these two names and your Palms that leads me to conclude argentata is the slight drooping of the tips of your leaves, which is atributed to argentata.

Given my record, take that for what it is worth...

What you look for is what is looking

Thanks bubba, these palms came labeled C.alta and C, argentata separately, but i believe that they are the same plant.I think that it is C. alta. The palms have bloomed two times, in spring and now.
